Rana Salam Studio was appointed to step-in at a very late stage – only 8 weeks prior to opening of the first Dubai Design Week – to curate and design an exhibition which illustrated Beirut’s design heritage from the previous seven decades. Alongside the role of curator, the studio also designed and executed the vast display area - 1000 sqm - by appointing Beirut-based architects Ghaith&Jad to design the structure of the exhibition on to which icons of the city’s design history from architecture, interiors, product design and graphics were shown through large-scale graphic prints.
