Milia M x Rana Salam
Commissioned by Milia M to work on her Kimabaya, Rana Salam applied her signature graphics that capture a slither of the Middle East! Searching through her archive of images, Rana selected her ‘Beirut Girl’ illustration which has become a signature of her designs. It incorporates a beautiful face of a Middle Eastern movie star from the 1950s that echo those from Hollywood oozing glamour and seduction.
Rana Salam adds her signature yellow stripes and flowers to the graphics, making it even more iconic. Milia inherits the image and magically incorporates it in her Kimabaya designs giving the illustration a mysterious and stunning element of surprise.
Her Kimabayas are reversible which makes the illustration playful and loud.
