Comptoir Libanais Cookbook at Soho House Miami

On April 3rd, I am invited by Soho House to take their members on a delightful journey to the Middle East through a charming table setting and a slide show on the journey on how I designed the book for authors Tony Kitous & Dan Lepard. -
AlUla Future Cultural Summit

Invited by the Royal Commission for AlUla in partnership with the Ministry of Culture to attend the first edition of the AlUla Future Culture Summit 2024, held under the theme: Cultural Landscapes
With an interdisciplinary program built around talks, workshops, performances and immersive experiences, the Summit provided a platform for cultural leaders and practitioners across the fields of arts, culture, policy, and government to discuss innovation, creativity, and empowerment.
The summit took take place at Daimumah in AlUla’s Oasis in Saudi Arabia.

Located in the heart of the AlJadidah Arts District, Design Space AlUla interrogates design practices from around the world through the prism of AlUla’s cultural and natural landscapes. -
Lecture Series: Brilliant Beirut
January 2024, Soho House, Miami
A one of a kind chronological journey that sheds light on the milestones of Beirut’s design history right through to today. From the flourishing years of the1950s and the maturing era of the 1960s and 1970s, all the way through the civil war of the 1980s, to the restoring phase of the 1990s and 2000s. This lecture pinpoints key moments, pivotal designers and great achievements that built the city’s reputation through its progressive design scene, from design education, to architecture and interior, product and graphic design.

We launched our Pop Arabia workshops as part of the FAME exhibition in ALULa. Looking at traditional Arabic/Islamic geometric shapes and letterform, this workshop brought these treasures to the students and taught them how to manipulate and reinvent them into contemporary forms.

We launched our Pop Arabia workshops as part of the FAME exhibition in ALULa. This workshop took the students step by step on how designer Rana Salam merges two opposite worlds into one. It showed step by step how to reimagine one’s designs and get inspired from Arab vintage memorabilia.
