As Boutique 1's Art Director for its first three years, Rana envisioned and initiated design concepts that the magazine still follows today: experimentation and pushing beyond the expected parameters of Middle East design.
Boutique 1 magazine covers embrace the philosophy of Islamic prohibition against the human figure, something that is so unexpected for a fashion magazine. As a result, abstract images are created to convey the magazine's themes, be it glamour, travel, celebration, cinema, art, food or music.
